RevitaLash® Cosmetics was founded in 2006 by renowned Ophthalmologist Dr. Michael Brinkenhoff, who created our original eyelash conditioner out of a desire to help his wife Gayle feel beautiful during her courageous fight against breast cancer. The brand began with an iconic lash conditioner and we have since developed an entire range of products designed to enhance the natural beauty and inner spirit of all women. Are all RevitaLash® Cosmetic products unisex?
Yes, all of our products are unisex.
Can AquaBlur®, Micellar Water Lash Wash, Hi-Def Brow Gel, Hi-Def Brow Pencil, Defining Liner or Double-Ended Volume Set be used while pregnant?
The safety of our products has been demonstrated in multiple studies conducted bu independent research laboratories. Our products have been shown in these tests to be safe to the hair and skin in adult study subjects. That said, if you are pregnant, breast feeding, or undergoing any medical treatment and have concerns about using any product, please consult with your physician.
Do RevitaLash® Cosmetics products contain parabens?
There are no parabens in any of the RevitaLash® Cosmetics products, with the exception of the Japan RevitaLash® Advanced formula, due to country specifications.
Does RevitaLash® Cosmetics do any animal testing?
Safety tests conducted by our company DO NOT involve any animal testing and production of all RevitaLash® Cosmetics products are "cruelty-free”.

How long will one tube of RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner last?
When used as directed, one tube of RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner (3.5 mL) lasts approximately six months. The 2.0 mL size of the product should last approximately three months. The expiration date for either size is one year upon opening and three years if unopened.
Is RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner safe to use on my lower lashes?
As a Physician led brand, we adhere to very high safety standards, so while it is safe for use on lower lashes, we do not recommend this as the applicator is designed specifically for use on the upper eyelashes.
Are RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner and RevitaBrow® Advanced Eyebrow Conditioner considered vegan-friendly?
Yes. Both products are vegan-friendly.
Can men use RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner?
Yes. RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner improves the appearance of both women's and men's natural eyelashes.
Can children use RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner?
The safety of RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner has been shown in multiple tests to be safe for use on the skin and eyes in adult study subjects only. RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner has not been tested in children so we therefore recommend that the product not be used by children under the age of 18.
Are RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner and RevitaBrow® Advanced Eyebrow Conditioner oil-free?
Yes. Both products are oil-free.
Are RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner and RevitaBrow® Advanced Eyebrow Conditioner gluten-free?
Yes. Both products are gluten-free.
RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner and RevitaBrow® Advanced Eyebrow Conditioner are "gluten-free" however they both contain Triticum Vulgare, which is Wheat Germ. How is this possible?
At present, there is no accepted FDA standard for determining if a cosmetic product is "gluten-free". Therefore, we tested RevitaLash® Advanced and RevitaBrow® Advanced according to the FDA standard for determining if a food is "gluten-free", and both were shown to have levels of gluten well below the detectable threshold. Additionally, the ingredient itself meets the FDA standard for gluten-free. Wheat Germ is a fatty acid found in very small quantities within the small embryo of the wheat plant. During the refining process to obtain Wheat Germ, the gluten protein can be broken down and therefore the process can leave the product gluten-free.
Can I wear mascara after applying RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner?
Absolutely. RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner will not interfere with mascara use. Please wait until the product dries before applying mascara.
Can I use RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner after a keratin lash lift?
Yes. RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner is safe for use after a keratin lash lift treatment. You should wait two days after the treatment to resume using your RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner, however we do recommend first consulting with your lash artist to be sure.
Can I use RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner with false eyelashes or eyelash extensions?
Yes. RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner is safe for use with eyelash extensions or false eyelashes, and can actually help retain the health and beauty of your natural lashes, helping to minimize the damaging effects often seen with the prolonged use of lash extensions.
Can I use RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner with permanent makeup and semi-permanent makeup?
Yes. RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner should not affect your permanent or semi-permanent makeup. If you have just recently finished getting your treatment, please make sure the area has completely healed and consult with your doctor prior to using either product.
Can I use RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner with contact lenses?
Yes. When used as directed, RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner does not get into the eye and is safe to use with contact lenses. If any product does get into your eye, we recommend that you remove, and carefully rinse, your contact lens and rinse your eye area with water.
Can I use RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner and RevitaBrow® Advanced Eyebrow Conditioner interchangeably?
No. RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner is formulated for use on eyelashes while RevitaBrow® Advanced Eyebrow Conditioner is formulated for use on eyebrows. Each has a custom-designed applicator to allow for precision application in the area where each is intended.
What if I find RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner or RevitaBrow® Advanced Eyebrow Conditioner for sale on other websites?
If product is purchased on any unauthorized website or reseller, we cannot confirm the integrity or authenticity of the product.
Can I use RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner if I have sensitive skin?
RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner has been carefully formulated by an Ophthalmologist and has been tested by independent research laboratories to affirm that it is safe and non-irritating. However, as with any cosmetic, some people may be allergic to one or more ingredients. In June of 2011, we introduced RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner to the marketplace and the formula has not changed since then.
Does RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner contain a “drug” ingredient?
No. All of the ingredients in RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner are cosmetic ingredients that have been included to serve a cosmetic purpose.
Does RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner contain hormones?
No. RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner does not contain hormones.
Are RevitaLash® Cosmetics products safe to use by pregnant or nursing women, or by chemotherapy patients?
The safety of our products has been demonstrated in multiple studies conducted by independent research laboratories. RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner has been shown in these tests to be safe to the skin and to eyes in adult study subjects. Based on scientific literature and clinical experience, independent ophthalmic specialist concluded that RevitaLash® Advanced is not unsafe for use during pregnancy or breast feeding, or while undergoing chemotherapy. That said, if you are pregnant or undergoing any medical treatment and have concerns about using any product, please consult with your physician.
Does the RevitaLash® Advanced product have any side effects?
RevitaLash® Advanced was developed by an Ophthalmologist and tested by independent research laboratories to affirm that it is safe and non-irritating when used as directed. However, as with any cosmetic, some people may be allergic to one or more ingredients. Consumers should ensure they read the label and use it as directed.
There is no caution note on the box, will the RevitaLash® Advanced cause any eye discoloration?

How is RevitaLash® Advanced different from Rodan & Fields?
We don’t have the specifics on the Rodan & Fields lash serum and therefore can’t point out direct differences, however, RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner is the number one eyelash serum on the market. This award-winning serum features our proprietary BioPeptin Complex®, rich in peptides, lipids, Biotin and Green Tea extract to condition and strengthen lashes to protect against breakage while improving flexibility and shine.
Each and every RevitaLash® Cosmetics product is clinically tested, dermatologist reviewed, hypoallergenic, non-irritating, made without parabens or phthalates, and designed to enhance the health and natural beauty of your lashes and brows.
Is it okay to use RevitaLash® Advanced and RevitaBrow® Advanced on grey or white lashes and brows that have been color treated?
RevitaLash® Advanced Eyelash Conditioner and RevitaBrow® Advanced Eyebrow Conditioner should not affect eyebrow or eyelash tint. If you have concerns, please consult your service provider.
Is RevitaLash® Advanced safe for my eyes?
As with any cosmetic product applied near eyes (e.g. mascara and eyeliner), ocular safety is a high priority. This is especially the case with RevitaLash® Cosmetics as the company was founded by an ophthalmologist, who designed RevitaLash® Advanced to stay where it is applied and not come in contact with eyes, and pioneered novel tests to demonstrate the ocular safety of RevitaLash® Advanced.
RevitaLash® Advanced was purposefully formulated with a thickener to ensure that it remains on the eyelashes where it is applied and does not drip into the eye. Our unique applicator wand was developed to apply a very small amount of product to the base of the eyelashes.
It's also important to note that a study conducted by an independent ophthalmologist affiliated with UCLA’s School of Medicine used fluorescent dye to photograph RevitaLash® Advanced after it was applied normally and confirmed that the product does not get into the eye fluid. This is important for two reasons. First, it means use of RevitaLash® Advanced is safe to eyes (since it does not come in contact with eyes). Second, it means RevitaLash® Advanced cannot get into the blood stream, because the primary entry is through absorption by the surface of the eye. In addition, two independent experts based in the UK, one a highly reputable ophthalmologist and the other a pharmacokinetics expert, have reviewed the safety tests of RevitaLash® Advanced and concluded that no appreciable amount of RevitaLash® Advanced is absorbed by the body.
And as if that weren't enough, in another study conducted by an independent laboratory, adult volunteers applied RevitaLash® Advanced daily as directed in the package instructions for 4 weeks. A certified ophthalmologist examined the volunteers’ eyes at the beginning and end of the study. The ophthalmologist reported there was no irritation to the eyes or change in the intraocular pressure (IOP) over the 4-week study. Collectively, these tests demonstrate that RevitaLash® Advanced generally stays out of eyes and does not have a physiological effect on eyes.

Why are the Volumizing Primer and Volumizing Mascara now merged into one product?
The combination of two products into one ensures the very best product experience with both products through user compliance. The Volumizing Primer and Volumizing Mascara are formulated to work together. You can create volume with the buildable Primer, and use the Mascara to amplify and create high drama. It is also more economical to purchase one product rather than two products.
Why couldn’t I just use the Volumizing Mascara alone to add more volume?
You can, but it’s more effective to use the Volumizing Primer first. The primer’s molded silicone brush coats and separates the lashes, allowing the mascara to beautifully and smoothly coat lashes with high-intensity color delivering a dramatic lash look that’s never clumpy or sticky.
How is this product different from the individual Volumizing Primer and Volumizing Mascara products?
The formula of each product is the same. The brushes are new for both the primer and mascara, redesigned specifically for use of each product to deliver the very best result and product experience. The Double-Ended Volume Set has a total of 11mL compared to 7.4mL in each of the individual SKUS.
Why has the size changed from the previous product?
Because this is a daily use product for the eyes, the product should be replaced after 6-8 weeks of use. The new sizing allows for less waste and improved hygiene.
Who is Double-Ended Volume Set for?
Double-Ended Volume Set is for anyone who wants gorgeous, amplified lashes! This flexible product is ideal for the natural, non-makeup user, as well as for the serious makeup artist.
Can I use the Volumizing Primer on its own?
Absolutely. The deep indigo shade of the Volumizing Primer is fantastic on its own, allowing for multiple lash looks.
Can I use the Double-Ended Volume Set with lash extensions?
The Double-Ended Volume Set formulas do not contain oil so there is no concern with compromising the lash extension glue, however we cannot guarantee that the application and removal of these products will not compromise the lash extensions in other ways.
How long does the Double-Ended Volume Set last?
Approximately 3 months when used as directed.
Is the Double-Ended Volume Set waterproof?
The Double-Ended Volume Set is water-resistant, not waterproof. We prefer to stay away from waterproof cosmetics, as the removal process can damage brows and lashes.
Have you changed the formula on the Volumizing Mascara and Primer, in the Double-Ended Volume Set product?
When the Volumizing Mascara and Primer formulas were combined to create the Double-Ended Volume Set in July of 2018, the formulas were not changed. In 2020, this product will be slightly reformulated with updated ingredients.
Does Double-Ended Volume Set have ingredients in it to help lashes like RevitaLash® Advanced does?
RevitaLash® Advanced is a cosmetic products designed to increase the overall health and appearance of lashes. It is carefully formulated with our patented technology, BioPeptin Complex®, to condition and improve the appearance of your natural lashes, making them appear gorgeous and lush. While the Double-Ended Volume Set shares a few similar lash-loving ingredients with RevitaLash® Advanced (such as Peptides & Biotin), it does not include BioPeptin Complex®.

How do I sharpen the pencil?
Defining Liner includes a built-in sharpener for your convenience.
Can the eyeliner be used on the bottom of your eyes or the waterline?
Yes, it's completely customizable.
Is Defining Eye Liner waterproof?
Our formula is water resistant, but not waterproof, in order to prevent aggressive makeup removal which can cause damage to the lashes.

Why are there only 3 shades?
These colors were specifically chosen because they are extremely universal and work with a wide range of skin and hair tones, making it easier to choose your correct shade. Whether you have light or dark hair, or want to create a soft or defined brow, the 3 shades work for most everyone and offer complete customization.
How do I know which shade works best for me?
Soft Brown – For blonde to light brown hair, with warm or cool undertones
Cool Brown – For medium to dark hair with cool/ash undertones
Warm Brown – For medium to dark hair with warm/gold undertones
How do I use Hi-Def Brow Pencil in tandem with Hi-Def Brow Gel?
Apply Hi-Def Brow Pencil first, then lock your look in place with Hi-Def Brow Gel.

Do I use Hi-Def Brow Gel before or after applying a brow pencil?
Hi-Def Brow Gel can be used on its own, or after you apply brow pencil to add definition and lock in your look.
Is Hi-Def Brow Gel waterproof?
No – but it does have great staying power. We prefer to stay away from waterproof cosmetics, as the removal process can damage brows and lashes.
Is Hi-Def Brow Gel good for your brows?
It is! The formula features Peptides and Oat Beta Glucan to help fortify, condition and enhance the appearance of brows, making it the perfect product to use along with RevitaBrow® Advanced.
Is the Hi-Def Brow Gel in Clear the same formula as the tinted shades?
The formula in Hi-Def Brow Gel Clear is different than our tinted shades, in order to be clear we had to remove the colorants used in our tinted shades. Hi-Def Brow Gel in clear features Peptides and Oat Beta Glucan to help fortify, condition and enhance the appearance of brows just like our tinted shades.
Does Hi-Def Brow Gel contain responsibly sourced palm oil?
Our Hi-Def Brow Gel is oil free and does contain some traces of responsibly sourced palm derived glycerin.
MICELLAR WATER LASH WASH
Can you use Micellar Water Lash Wash with a face wash?
Yes - we recommend using your face wash first, then using Micellar Water Lash Wash to pick up any leftover dirt, oil and impurities.
Can Micellar Water Lash Wash be used to remove waterproof makeup?
At RevitaLash Cosmetics, we prefer to stay away from waterproof cosmetics, as the removal process can damage brows and lashes. This is a gentle and effective micellar water formula designed to draw out impurities to remove dirt, oil, and makeup without drying the skin, lashes, brows and lids are left cleansed, soothed and hydrated. It provides solutions for: sensitive eyes, quick clean up, or dull, lackluster lashes or brows, tired eyes and eyelash extensions. Micellar Water Lash Wash is not formulated for use with waterproof makeup.
Can Micellar Water Lash Wash be used with eyelash extensions?
Yes! Micellar Water Lash Wash is oil-free, and therefore can be used to cleanse lash extensions. We recommend spraying a few pumps directly onto closed eye, lightly massaging product along lashes, brows and lids, and gently wipe dry.
AQUABLUR® HYDRATING EYE GEL & PRIMER
Can I apply AQUABLUR® on my entire face?
AquaBlur® was designed to be used specifically on the eye area, including lashes, brows and lids. AquaBlur® has not been tested for use over the full face, however, many customers report loving the result on the full face as well.

AQUABLUR® is a simple, gentle and effective hydrating eye gel that can be used with or without makeup to moisturize, protect and smooth the eye area while supporting the health of brows and lashes. AQUABLUR® is an oil-free, vitamin-infused and antioxidant rich formula.

How is AQUABLUR® Hydrating Eye Gel & Primer different than other silicone-based primers?

With AQUABLUR®, it’s the combination of ingredients that creates the benefits in the product. Apply half pump of the product morning and night (2x daily). Gently smooth over closed eye including lashes, brows, lids and undereye contour. Once product is fully absorbed, follow with skincare and makeup application.

This depends on how often you use your curler, but once you begin to notice wear and tear, we recommend switching out your old pad for a new one. On average with daily use , this is between 3-5 months.
Do I use the lash curler before or after I apply mascara?
Always use the lash curler before mascara, as using it after can cause damage to your lashes.
If RevitaLash® Advanced has the patented Curl Effect, why do I need a lash curler?

The safety of Volume Enhancing Foam to skin has been demonstrated in industry standard cosmetics testing (RIPT, microbiology, stability).
As happens with all cosmetic products a very small number of users have reported sensitivity to Volume Enhancing Foam. Over a one-year period, 0.047%* of users reported sensitivity, including temporary redness, swelling, itching of the scalp. Even more rare were reports of hair loss.
